It may be offered from several hours to several days, and may take the form of homemaker services, sitter companion, family reimbursement to hire a respite provider, or a stay in a DDSO certified residence or Family Care Home.

The Finger Lakes DDSO can arrange for assistance needed by the families, including respite, crisis intervention, recreation, family member training, counseling, family reimbursement, information and referral.
